Challenge

The implementation project for the Yanto.pl online store was full of challenges due to its complex functional and technical requirements. The goal was to create a modern and intuitive shopping platform that would meet the expectations of professionals in the food service industry.
The first step was designing an advanced navigation system that provides quick access to a wide assortment of products, numbering in the tens of thousands. The menu needed to be clear and intuitive, allowing users to easily find the products they were looking for.

The homepage was designed to capture users’ attention with dynamic elements, such as promotional banners, sections showcasing new products, and brand information. Each element needed to be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.
The category page required the implementation of an advanced filtering and sorting system, enabling users to quickly find products that met their criteria. The product listing needed to be clear and include all necessary information, such as product features and current promotions.
The product page was another crucial element of the project. It had to provide complete product information, including an image gallery, videos, customer reviews, product features, and the option to download PDF materials. Additionally, the product summary section and the “add to cart” action needed to be intuitive and easy to use in order to increase the conversion rate.
The checkout process also required special attention. It was necessary to simplify all stages, from entering personal information, selecting delivery options, to making payment and reviewing the order summary. Each of these steps needed to be clear and intuitive to ensure ease and convenience for the users during the purchasing process.
As part of the project, it was also necessary to create manufacturer pages that would display a list of manufacturers and their products in a clear and easy-to-browse manner.
Data migration was another key element of the project. This process involved importing products based on data sheets in CSV, XLSX, or JSON formats, which was essential to ensure a complete and up-to-date product offering on the website.
Finally, integrating the store with external systems, such as Baselinker with the ERP Humansoft connection, was essential to ensure smooth order management and data synchronization between different platforms.
The implementation of the Yanto.pl, online store required precise planning, team involvement, and strict adherence to the timeline to meet all functional requirements and provide users with an excellent shopping experience.

Analysis
In the initial phase of the project, our team thoroughly analyzed the client’s requirements through a series of both in-person meetings and detailed online discussions. This allowed us to gain a deep understanding of the client’s needs. Task prioritization using the MoSCoW method enabled us to focus on the key features of the store, with the option for further project development. We also conducted a workshop to define Buyer Personas to better understand the expectations of B2B clients.
Graphic Design
We preceded the graphic design phase with workshops in which key stakeholders from both the client side and our team actively participated in planning the project’s vision. After gathering the vision through discussions with the graphic designer during the workshop sessions, we moved on to the graphic design stage. During this phase, the graphic designer created a concept for the homepage, which, after the second iteration, fully met the client’s expectations. Following the creation of the homepage concept, the graphic designer then developed all other views required for the implementation of the online store. Throughout the progress of the work, we met with the client to discuss each graphic element of the store. By using modern graphic design tools, we were able to share the design with the client in real time and simultaneously mark elements that required further adjustments after the meeting.

Implementation
We implemented the project, as we do with all others, according to the Scrum methodology. By using Scrum, we are able to successfully execute projects, as we maintain broad communication with the client throughout the progress of the work, clarifying the scope and adjusting to any changes that may arise when the client dedicates more time to fulfilling their vision. This approach gave the client confidence that the online store would be delivered according to their expectations, while ensuring that we would complete the project on time and within the agreed budget.
With the start of the implementation, we precisely outlined all tasks in the project management tool, divided into sprints. This approach allows for more efficient sprint planning meetings, during which we typically clarify the details and requirements of the tasks.
